If you already have DAoC Installed and patched to live skip to Step 3

Step 1 : Create Phoenix Forum account

To play on Phoenix you'll first need to make a forum account here.

Step 2 : Install Dark Age of Camelot

You will need to download and install the official Dark Age of Camelot client. This can be found here.

Step 3 : Update to latest game files

Now you need to launch Dark Age of Camelot and allow the patcher to update your game files to the latest versions. Your patcher will look like this when finished.

You'll need to make a copy of the "Dark Age of Camelot" folder. This can be achieved by right-clicking on the folder and selecting "Copy" and then right-clicking in the Electronic Arts folder and selecting "Paste". Now your "Electronic Arts" directory should look like this.
