I'm having the same problem. I tried closing out and reloading as well as restarting my laptop. Any idea on how to fix it would be great.

In the directory/folder where daoc is installed there is a file called PhoenixFixer.exe. Run that file and select the downgrade option. Let it finish then restart the phoenix launcher.
