When I level up or train my abilities on my hotbar change to some other skill on my Friar. I tried making a new one and deleting the ui files for the character. And tried a custom ui.

It's just a weird bug in the game, it does eventually stop, just have to tough it out afaik. Clerics have the same issue. You just have to keep redoing your quick bars for a bit.

I believe it stops once you get all of your spells.

The issue appears to be the baseline and spec spells being in the same listing. For example, a pure caster has say both Wind baseline and Vapormancy that you would see as separated lists with radial buttons that open the full list in the UI. A Friar would only have Enhance, not a base line and spec version in the UI. All of their Enhancement spells are Enhancement, both baseline and spec.

Near as I can figure...if you are, for example, level 15 and have 9 enhance spec (1 rejuv for explanation purposes) you would have the spells listed in increasing spell order and the lvl 15 con buff would be the 10th (I think) one.
Dinging 16 and bumping Enhance to 12 gives you a new spell (Fatigue use one) at 12.
However, being lower level than the 15 baseline Con buff it shows up in the list where it would be in order of spell level. Unfortunately, that now means that the base Con buff is the 11th spell in the list, not the 10th.
So...however the UI populates the hotbars from spell lists gets borked and uses the data field rather than a spell name or effect and that hotkey is now referencing the new 10th item in the list (probably base str) even though the icon onscreen does not change.

Basically, it is the addition of new things in the middle of the list that screws up the hotkey refencing any items now below that new thing. And that is why it only affects classes that have baseline and spec spells in a combined listing but not pure casters with separated base and spec lines or hybrids like thane/skald/pala/VW that only have spec spells.

This is a perfect explanation
