Game won't launch, "Patcher unavailable"

This appears to be a new issue for me. I was able to log in and play without issues on Saturday and earlier on Sunday, but now whenever I try running Phoenix Launcher, it starts checking files and instantly pops up an error message saying "Patcher unavailable. Shutting down."

I've tried updating the DAOC client and replacing the phoenix files but it's giving me the same error. Is the server down or something?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I've tried nuking the whole DAOC installation and re-doing things from scratch. Reinstalled DAOC, patched it to current version, even re-downloaded new Phoenix launcher. Still getting the same error, I'm stumped.

Yeah it's all in the same folder, up until the reinstall an hour ago or so I've made no changes to the previous installation. Heck I was able to log in and play on the phoenix server on the day of the launch but a day or so after I was no longer able to even get to the login screen thru phoenix.exe, "Patcher unavailable" error message pops up the moment I try to run it.

Outside of windows update, I haven't really used this computer since, but I doubt that the update is responsible.

Edit: I'm in Discord now, as Selmus.

Just posting this for a little closure. Turns out Windows update was the main culprit. Something in an update on Sunday morning broke it, and the new update fixed it.
So if you're using Windows 10 and phoenix.exe stops seeing the patcher for some reason, an update just might fix it.
