Game lagging, but not due to internet?

The past few days I have been unable to roll with the RvR BG at any given time. When there are too many other players nearby, my lag becomes so unplayable that I cannot even /quit. The delays become longer than 30 seconds, and I feel I have tried everything, to my knowledge, to fix the matter. I am here asking for help please!

For starters, this has happened once before, months ago. I was able to fix the problem by simply updating my graphics card driver. I did that this time, and it worked perfectly for the rest of the day (yesterday). However, I logged in today and I am back to 30 second (or more) delays once I am around a zerg of players. I can play other games and use all other internet services just fine, just not Dark Age.

I am at a loss as of what to do. I feel the problem has to be internal, and not internet-based. Power supply? Over heating? I just don't know. I don't feel power supply is the problem. However, I am no expert. Looking for any and all suggestions please! Thank you!

Edit:
My computer is also only 2-3 years old, but pretty basic since I only Dark Age. Everything in the PC is as the day it was built:

Processor: AMD 7 1700 Eight-Core 3.0 Ghz
16 GB Ram
Radeon RX 550 (2 GB GDDR5)
300 watt power supply
Windows 10 Home version 1909

I did some digging, and some math, and I am considering upgrading the power supply. I added up all the specs inside my PC as best I could and my computer, at full load, uses approximately 290 watts, based on a power supply calculator I used.

With power supply max of 300 inside my PC, I feel 290 is a little too close for comfort at full capacity. I also know that I missed a few other small additions like fans inside the PC. Those use watts also, no matter how small.

I am going to upgrade the power supply, and test Dark Age. I will come back and reply here with my findings incase others have this problem.

I bought a new power supply and it did not fix my issue. That said, I have no idea what to do.

When in raid you have to do /effects none to remove some of the clutters and the fps issues, however on a high end machine you shouldnt have issues.
Usually you have to check:
- If you run DAoC in windowed - your cpu and gpu have to work on both the game and the background things (internet/second screen/etc...)
- I usually always manually set my paging file in advanced performance options you need:
____min 1.5*16*1024= 24576
___max 3*24576=73728
- You can also set your windows option to adjust for best performance.
- You have to check that your computer is not overheating, in which case everything is throttled, for a laptop its usually recommended to have increased airflow/fans below.
- You gotta check that Nvidia shadowplay is not always running, also the xboxlive shadowplay feature, which records your gameplay. They might be siphoning your performance.
- Check that your battery settings are always set to performance mode when plugged in. Play while plugged in.
- You can also set DAoC as high priority in task manager.
- Finally you have to check that you don't have malware, a good software for that is process explorer from microsoft (run in admin mode).
- 16GB of RAM is sometimes not enough for hardcore gamers, the music, the internet, the chat, the twitch video, the youtube video, the discord, etc... they take a lot of memory when all ran together.
- Also might be an issue of storage drive: NVMe M.2 > Sata m.2 > Sata SSD > HDD nobody should use HDD anymore

If the problem is only in DAoC and not in other games it could also be in issue with the difference between your native screen resolution and the resolution at which you run DAoC.

I am not working in IT, I just give you my personal experience fixes.
