Like the title stated, having a real difficult time getting into game and when I do finally get logged in if I need to zone game is likely to crash.

Can get to character select screen everytime no issues. After selecting character and clicking play it will hang for a bit then game will crash to desktop with no errors or popups. Sometimes after 3 trys i can get logged in but othertimes its 10+ tries or I give up.

Additionally if I need to zone it will do the same crash to desktop and then Im stuck trying over and over to get back into the game.

This was happening a bit during beta so i eventually quit. Came back to beta a while later after there was /lvl40 and the problem had disappeared.

Have been playing regularly since launch and hadnt had this issue until saturday the 27th after update.

Did a new install from live etc but didnt help. anyone got some ideas where to start figuring this out?

Still doing it today. Ive tried a few things . Running in admin mode. Resetting router/modem multiple times. Obviously I've reset this computer many time as well. Tried setting priority to game to above normal. I was watching task manager while trying to at character select screen and daoc us using 10% cpu 8% memory 0% disk 63% gpu.

Right after clicking play cpu usage drops to 1-2% then after a bit begins to climb up to around 10% while ram climbs only slightly then the game crashes/process disappears. No resources except the gpu on this laptop are being used near 90%. cpu and ram are only runnin at 10% and 40% respectively. disk usage stays around 10%.

Uthgard working just fine. This is phoenix specific issue. Tried some other things deleted game.dll to force live update file check. Didn't help.

Since it started appearing after our maintenance on April 27th, the logical step would be to fully re-install the client, because a lot has changed and you might run into a version conflict here that's causing the crashes.

Thanka for the reply. Have done fresh install twice already. All 3 of my phoenix clients, old and 2 new, are doing the same thing. Ill try again tonight. Ill also try logging onto live tonight to see what happens there. If still not figured out will do windows format and reinstall. Thanks again

What about doing some groundwork... Graphic driver & audio driver update.

Depending on your OS (pre Win10) you should also run the Directx webinstaller from their website to check for damaged or missing files.
