Dual GPU DAOC issue

I'll try to make it as simple as possibile: i'm playing on my laptop which has 2 GPUs: one INTEL HD Graphics 630 (integrated one) and one NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
After playing for some time with charger plugged in, my laptop starts to overheat and soon after i start getting strong lag spikes that last around 15 to 30 seconds, this happens every 5 to 10 minutes more or less. It gets a lot better if i disconnect the charger.
I tried to figure this out for some days now and the only "hint" that i found was that when the lag spike happens my integrated GPU (INTEL HD Graphics 630) reaches instantly 100% usage (it usually stays around 50% during my daoc sessions). I tought that the way to solve this was to assign daoc to the most powerfull GPU.
I tried to look for a solution but the procedures that let you select which graphic card to use on specific application only work with .exe files while daoc process runs as a .dll (camelot.exe is just the patcher). Anyone knows how to solve this?
Both drivers are updated, SO: windows 10

Thank you so much

Disable your integrated graphics card. I had to get a desktop to run daoc.. even though it's an old game it runs like crap on laptop. I constantly had framerate lag and my char spun the opposite direction after the lag. Despite having very high framerate normally. I had 1060 external graphic card in my thunderbolt port too..

I tried to disable the integrated GPU but it doens't work. It looks like that monitor is somehow directly connected to the integrated one and nvidia drivers don't recognize it after the first one has been disabled.

Is your 1050ti internal or external? You may have to hook up a different display to get it to work

Also I can't remember the exact way but you should be able to see which gpu each program is using while running, different to the assigning method.

Which GPU is being used for which program shows up in taskmanager.
Have you tried assigning the Nvidia GPU to Phoenix.exe?
Which is what i have and seems to work.

I succeded at switching which gpu is being used for daoc process. Nevertheless i keep having the same problem.
I'll attach the screen i made of the gpu usage graph during lag spikes, as you can see the only thing that seems to skyrocket is the first GPU:

I even noticed that doac has a very high power consumption, is there any way to solve this?
Moving daoc from a regular SataII disk to a ssd will help?
