Created last night - gone today?

I created my 1st character last night, played around until about level 6 and logged out. Logged in just now and my screen shows no characters available, however the name I used last night for character is no longer available to pick to (like it is being used still by my character).

Any ideas?

Did u change the character page on the login launcher by accident?
