Consignment sales and gold missing.

Yesterday i had approximately 1platinum on my character. 900 gold on my consignment merchant (yes i know i am broke). Listed an item for 5p 750 gold yesterday evening. woke up this morning to find item sold. however, my consignment merchant has 900 gold on him, and i have roughly the same gold, ( i was leveling a new character and getting gold so not sure the exact amount).

I asked in support is discord. Was told by a GM it does not happen automatically next time something is sold or bought it will appear. that happened, nothing changed, not even sure if I received the gold from the other sale cause I did not know my exact balance as I was farming gold and the items sold were inexpensive.

Was told this time by a GM to again to wait for server restart. Did that and nothing still and another item sold and it doesn't look like i received the gold on my character? or it was incredible short, again inexpensive item so no way to really know unless i knew the exact balance when i logged off to the copper.

So here I am again, short the money with no answer. Hopefully this will get looked into, as of now I am taking everything off my merchant because people are receiving the items and I am not getting paid and losing the item.

For the record, I do not like this change and will never trust it to be honest, if you are farming gold or leveling and obtaining gold and stuff sells on your merchant you will never know if you received the correct gold, especially for items listed for like 30 gold etc.at least on the consignment merchant I can see how much i received from the sale. Can we please get it set to the way it was before? I really do not want to resort to region selling, I do not have the time or motivation for that.

i can provide screenshots, however do not know the rules with players names etc.....

Thanks in advance for your help.

Missing money since the change seems to be a popular topic,

the ultimate goldsink has been implemented

jokes aside, this sucks heavily for all involved players...i don't monitor my balances closely but i am not selling much per week atm anyways, so my losses will be max 5-10plat even if my whole merchant is sold at 50%.

I am sure they are working on a fix, in the meantime we can just hope they find one fast

The update on Friday included a bug where these kind of offline sales did not flag the balance as changed meaning if you were offline and someone bought something and you didn't in any other way get your balanced flagged as changed (for example by trading / buying / selling to merchant / getting drop gold etc.) until the next server restart the balance would not be saved, the update on Saturday fixed this issue.

If you are affected by this issue please get in touch with Uthred or Cooky in discord and the logs will be reviewed for your case.

As for the why of this change: Repossession doesn't handle copper, the change to not draw rent from consignment merchants would otherwise make it possible for houses to be repossessed with funds still in the merchant and there are upcoming changes that have to do with offline purchases / sales.

The OP of this thread and many others already got their money back after checking the logs. Thanks for your trust in the team. /facepalm

Thx Uthred, so anyone missing gold / plats since the fix?

And could your 5P get restored?

Since the fix there shouldnt be any problems anymore.

One thing that is causing troubles though is that if something got sold via your CM, it will only be shown in your /accountbalance. On your player it wont be shown until you earn or spend some money like buying/selling something from a npc or making money via PvE or RvR.

This part "I am sure they are working on a fix, in the meantime we can just hope they find one fast" wasn't sarcastic...sorry if you interpreted it that way. I know you get a lot of (unwarranted) hate on the forum, but my intention wasn't to add onto it.

My comment started with a small joke, then i thought it might upset people, so i related to them that it must suck, and finished it off that i am sure staff (you) are on it, doing everything you can...
