Cannot target anything or anyone with mouse

I have to click 5x and sometimes it doesn't work at all to target a mob, person, vendor etc.

Is there an easy fix or is this a bug?

Can you change the dpi settings on your mouse? I would check those if you can

Playing on laptop (trackpad) until I can get my new mouse as old one was lost when moving house.

Might be the issue...
