2 accounts 1 internet connection

I am having a doubt...
I play with my account on hibernia now with my pc . In January, my wife is planning to play aswell but on midgard.
Since i am having 1 pc only, we will play in different timing , meaning, i'll log off and she will log in with her own account.

Due to the fact that i am having only 1 internet provider and 1 pc, is it going to be a problem rules wise?
What is the solution?

that doesn't really sound like a situation that can be "solved" without giving people a freepass to multiaccounting on different realms

the only solution i see is to agree with your wife on a realm to play. Marriage is about making compromises, i bet you can figure it out.

(i am not a staff member or otherwise affiliated though, that is just my impression)

the only time i can be away from her is when we play on different realms don't remove that from me

I ma sure there can be a solution, many other players can have the same issue with children , for example.

I don't really see a solution to this either, people who actually might have a need for this most will abuse this.. sadly

well not necessarily , maybe there is a way to get the system authorized by GMs and eventually monitored to avoid missuses . We are not talking of dual logging but of 2 different accounts played one per time. I had the same issue on uthgard and GM just asked me to open a ticket and once done,we were authorized. Not everybody can afford 2 pc with 2 different internet lines ,isn't This should not discourage players to play here.

Set up her account on Uthgard. She gets to play Mid, you get to play Hib and no rules were broken. Win-Win!

I am not a GM or admin - so my free opinion is worth exactly that... nothing!

i believe two logins from the same household at the same time would be easier to verify that it's not someone buffbotting or multiaccounting

Ofcourse GMs might work around it for you, being upfront and honest about it surely is the only way it could happen without resulting in permabans, so i do think you are going the right way.
In the end i guess they (staff) have a lot to do atm but sending them a PM might be worth a shot

Since my "situation" is going to be quite common within the community, i was hoping on a earlier solution for cases like mine.

I don't think two different people playing two different realms at different times is going to be all that common.
I play with my daughter but we play together.

i was hoping for a solution suggested by a DEV or GM for this issue rather than "go play uthgard where is allowed."

I get where you are coming from and it seems that the mods on Uthgard have a lot of time on their hands.
What you are asking is that a GM monitor your account to make sure that they are not at fault.
Asking somebody who is donating their time in the first place to use that time to specifically monitor YOUR time (chatlogs etc to make sure you are not sniping) instead of working on server things does not make sense to me. Like somebody else mentioned you could both just play on the same realm and you would still be away from her since you are not playing at the same times.

Option 2, buy a second PC, I highly doubt you would need to spend more than 100-150$ ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAFuawsN-1I ) on a pc capable of running DAoC. No need for a second internet connection since this situation if VERY common GMs will understand your issue and not make a fuss about it

So if we are 2 persons living under the same roof with 2 different PCs we can both play without violating the rules?

Yes, I play with my kid. We have had no issues. We haven't even been challenged but I guess it is pretty easy to tell that it is two different people playing at the same time.

I play with my wife a lot, we got challenged once, but we passed and they flagged us as ok. I think it was because we were a Necro/Cleric duo and she doesn't like to run so she sticks me a lot.
