Window Dragging - Phoenix Freeshard

So over the last few weeks I have ran in to multiple people window dragging. I know this is a pointless post but oh well. So anyhow every time I see it I appeal with name and get the same response.. Did you get it on video? And of coarse my response is no I did not, I can not run my Rec. dev 24/7 and am not able to alt tab over and turn it on in middle of a fight and then alt tab back to catch him in the middle of the act.. anyhow just ranting because over the last day or two It has been really bad.

A hunter named Klavaal window dragged so bad he was skipping 500+ units to attack me. Is there not some way that is is detectable on the server side? I mean do we really have to baby sit our fellow players?

every descent vid capturing programm has hotkeys so you can switch it on easily ingame

btw i never experienced any window draggers in 20 years daoc, just like i never saw any suspicious radar users... imo both is a myth!

both definitely exist, but also not in the amounts that sightings are reported

If you are using a geforce card look into the shadowplay feature, afaik it isn't THAT taxing while running in the background and you can switch on recording via customizable hotkey (for example alt-F10 or similar, so it doesn't get in your playing way)

i have never joined any zerg, in fact i play solo 99% of the time

Radar was/is a real fucking thing.

When I last played live, 6/8 people I played with used it (1/8 including me). Everyone had it. And when we ran together, 30%ish of opposing players had it as they would instantly run away when in range.

Everyone had it when I first started playing the game too.

It might still be an issue on Phoenix I dunno.

Please dont open any threads accusing other players.

We know that these things like radar and window dragging exists, even on Phoenix. Players were already banned for using it. But we also need a proof as we dont ban/punish players just because someone said so. If you think your appeal wasnt properly answered, there is always the discord where it is quite easy to reach a staff member. If you want to chat about your case, feel free to contact me there.

In general if it is about radar, window dragging, speed hacking, etc the best thing to do is to contact the staff on discord.
