What's the first class you're running on the next event?

This was a looooooooo-oooo-ooooong event and I got experience with several classes I'm not familiar with. Official timesink toll is: 50 Cleric, 47.5 Reaver, 42 mana eld. 90% in autogroups.

For me, I think I'm showing up on minute 1 with a zerker. It seems like an extremely straightforward and effective class.

What are your plans for the next round?

BTW: shammy is a close #2 on my list. Those motherfuckers.

Hot take: picking ichor classes is pro because you can leech with a 500 radius dd/root. Change My Mind

e: oh and btw the reaver was a 29 spec amethyst slash TWF bot. so dont read too much into that. as i insinuated, leeching was both an unwarranted and necessary part of this event.

Depends on what map they run. If its this one again maybe I make an animist and set up in a house for the lolz.

animist + aoe interrupt / pbaoe + stuns were king for early levels. seems like later levels were open field fights. so find something that can aoe early + range later. cab or eld seems king here. i got a reaver to the 40s and it was free cake the whole time. once twf showed up it was only faster

Necro was king 40+ for me. Was bringing in 97k rps an hour. I'm definitely going melee next run though. Fighting melee groups until 40 was terrible on any caster I played.

So this run I got to play a bunch of classes that I have never really sat down to play:

To tally: RR5L1 Shadowblade / 4L2 Shaman / 4L2 Savage / RR4 Mentalist

So I'm getting close to the point where I don't really need much of anything. Though #1 for next event by a mile will be a Valewalker.

Playing phoenix for about 9 month now and this event permitted me to have my first lvl50 yeah.

Was so much fun btw, sniping wounded from outside large battles, urban warfare in the middle town...

I could also test some classes in rvr, wanted to lvl a thane and was interesting to see that it doesn't fit me (better now then after 50 lvl).

So next one will be warden if he gets some love till then, else a reaver, I like to cut people in have with a flexible !

I played an Infil till 5L5. Most likely I'll try a Nightshade next event. Only stealther I haven't played on phoenix.

I did 2 classes this event. I don't have much time to play with my work schedule so I couldn't get a bunch of 50s heh. I just got these two to high 40s.

Scout: I absolutely loved playing him. Sniping is VERY satisfying. Melee on a Scout is weapons-grade ass, but it didn't matter. He was so lethal in chaotic fights and I took out half a dozen people before even being noticed. Shout out to Hawkeye who I duoed with one night while using a Animist bunker as our base. Killed dozens of people before they finally got us heh. I will for sure be using him in real RvR.

Wizard: A complete waste of time imo. He was easy to get lots of tags with by simply dropping a bunch of AOEs before getting CC'd/destroyed by a stealther. Damage could be very nice but I just couldn't enjoy him because in a pug environment you get little to no support. With no peels and rarely any heals the wiz was just self harm most of the time. As fire at least. I stopped leveling him at 45. I might finish getting him to 50 to see if he is more enjoyable zerf surfing.

I REALLY want to try Shadowblade and Valewalker. Both looked like so much fun during the event. I might level a Valewalker naturally right now since they look like they will be easy levelers. Shadowblade is probably very painful so I'll wait until the next event.

I loved this though. Thank you for putting the time into setting this up. I don't get the time to play that I would like. This helped get me established on this server since I'm still pretty new.

If an assassin class was chosen, what’s the best course of action to get as high RR possible during event?

Group no stealth with regular group?
Stealth group mix (archers)?
Stealth group only assassins?
Soloing and tagging everything then hiding/vanishing?

I went no stealth for the first 35 levels or so, play it like a BM/Zerk/Merc (although obviously a weaker version) but spec in envenom so its adds a little flavor. Then I would either solo or stealth group the rest of the way. Just keep in mind it will take a bit longer, but can still be fun.

Just how I did mine, but to each his own, have to do the way you like to play, that way it is fun for you, so mix it up, you can respec as much as possible.
