is there a side which seems to really need people? just got here and wondering which realm to be 
underdog realm?

From the stress test numbers, Albion had the least amount of accounts / players. However it's all fairly close, so depending on timezone, area of the game (pve vs rvr) it may totally different. I don't think there is a sure way to know yet. But you can usually count on finding enemies in RvR if you play Alb.
