RvR Idea

I see it way too much where full groups avoid one another to move on to run over a solo or duo. Full groups will literally run from an even fight. I think they should do a trial run where for each member you add to your group, your movement speed is slightly reduced by small percentage making you slower than groups smaller than you. Battlegroups never run full speed anyway so it isn't like it would be any different for y'all. It would allow solo, duo, and small man to escape being ran over and get to choose whether or not they want to hit a larger group rather than the full groups being able to decide all.

This is a brilliant idea! I would be game to try this!

I don't understand the obsession with trying to force others to do what you want instead of what they want themselves.

Every player should be able to play their own playstyle. full groups shouldn't be able to control rvr and that is exactly the case. they won't fight an even fight, but they'll run over a small man. The small man should get to small man if that's what they choose. The speed decrease would make full groups unable to chase down smaller groups. It would also allow 8 mans to be able to set up evenly in an 8v8 being they would move at the same slower speed. People should be able to play however they choose and this would allow that to happen.

I mean, in reality, the more numbers you travel with, the more you're noticed and the more you're vulnerable to be hit from all sides anyway. It would make rvr way more interesting than watching 8 mans run over 3 mans while avoiding even fights all day long.

8mans don't "avoid fights," especially against randos.

yes but most of the so called gvg groups hunt down solo players without merci but always start crying when added.
I like the speed idea btw.

doubt this would happen, it doesn't seem like any changes on this server hurt the elite 8mans, apparently their lobby is too strong

but to be fair, in this case, imo, there are better and fairer solutions to getting the GvG-groups away from populated zones where they stomp over everything not within their circle while complaining about adds when they try to 8vs8 at bleedmer-docks

Devs have said changes are geared towards 8vs8 in the past.

It alienates a lot of plays like as you said, gvg roll over everything BUT dont care about zerging soloers or attacking the Mid bg when we are taking towers. But god help us if the bg rolls an alb vs Hib gvg fight

8mans WILL "avoid" another 8v8 out of "respect" but they will WTF Stealth Lore to kill a stealther...

Respect they say...LMFAO....

I like the spirit of the idea, however, people are going to find ways to exploit around it. I can think of a few off the top of my head. Have a minstrel side car your group to stop people (especially if it's a duo+ because they'll be slowed too). You could also have your speed class drop from the group and go kill the speed of the other group/soloers. This change would be harder for mid, specifically where the skald only has one single target 1500 range insta rupt on longer cd, vs ae insta amnesia of bard and flute mezz of minst.
