Nametag Clipping Range Issue

Beforehand i wanna point out, i really love the server and the Stuff is doing a great job!

What really bothers me is the clipping range of the name tags in RvR, is it just me or does it seem like way to short to see friendly and enemy Nametags??

It really affects my gameplay as a caster when trying to pick the right targets, because i cant even see tags inside my casting range, which in my memmory was never an issue back in the days on live....

Maybe it's just that so many fights are zergy that's making it feel like the clipping range for nametags is short, i.e. you're often trying to target enemies through swarms of friendlies. If you look at this random video from the OF days, the nametags are definitely not visible within the full range of the casting range. They might be coming into view around 1000 or 1250? It's hard to tell if that's the same as on Phoenix, but I would guess that it is.

No, i talked to a few people and we might know the issue, the name tag range is measured from the camery distance, not the character distance, when you zoom in the range gets to normal, but i cant play DAoC in 1st person

probably why spell effects seemingly stop working also. This is a phenomena on Hib where the server appears to throttle spell effects on everyone at a certain point, not sure what that point is. Saw a few videos pointing out the nametag issue, you can only see they're enemy within a few hundred units.

It would be amazing if I could see enemy name tags from 2500-3000 range.
