Yes I agree pve is much quicker but if we all collectively started using weird places like Braemar and Wilton to xp we could level through pvp only. it's such a fun way and i feel like everyone wants to but we all know those bgs are gonna be dead. If we all decided to start playing other BGs than Thid we could really make a difference, for daoc and for Phoenix!! Thoughts?

Working on getting a sorc up to Thid level. Absolutely hate pveing to level, so hoping to level through the BGs if possible.
It's simple, they were the 3 first battleground to appear
People go to 20-24 because it's the first time they can RvR People go to 30-34 because it's the last time they can RvR until lvl 50 People don't go to 25-29 because they don't really have any reason to go ^^
BGs are pretty fun especially with unlimited respecs. Sure it is not the same as 50 but it gives you a nice opportunity to try out some diff specs/playsyles...and those intial RAs you can earn def help leveling the final way to 50 and give you a better starting point for endgame RvR.
Just wish mid would put something else out other than Bonedancers and skalds in Caledonia
Sadly I was not around for the beta testing of this server, nor for any of the discussions surrounding implementation, as I would have strongly urged them to include the NF BGs. Molvik was miles ahead of the others in terms of population on Live, and was easily my favorite. The super low level BGs such as Lion's Den and such would be a blast also, with so many people all starting at the same time when the server launched. I am all for as many people in the BGs as possible. That said, Thid has been poppin' all the times I have been in there thus far.
Try to spread the word in Cale...don't hit the RR3 cap or you lose the free respecs! I'd feel really bad for full air theugs or natty druids that could potentially get stuck that way (assuming they want a diff spec for the 50 grind).
TBH it feels a bit like a trap to give Cale a rr3 cap, and expect players type /respec and read about free respec stopping at 50 or RR3...that is literally the only place that little pearl of wisdom is written.
On a different note, I know I've seen TWF, SoS, ST and purge in Cale....does ichor or VP work? I know aotg didn't work at lvl 34...
Anyway, Cale was a great break from grinding! Now my skald can xp with a 32% crit chance :-)
Don't know about making another toon...hard to decide what'd be fun in Cale...maybe a BD :-)
