Helping others in RvR and gaining RPs by doing so

Encourage helping others in RvR:

To encourage more team work I think the following should be implemented: I play Albion so I’ll reference there but same applies to all realms.
All timed buffs like the wizards damage add or the necro’s armor buff, the sorc power buff... etc when given to another player not in your party and that player goes out in rvr and kills someone and gains realm points, you too should gain something for helping them to achieve that kill. Even if it’s only 5 RPs or whatever. I play a theurgist and every time I go out to rvr all these warriors and stealthers are always asking me to buff them, and I do without any problem because I also have a scout and I know how that goes. But sometime when I buff 2-3 people then I have to wait to gain mana back and that few seconds lost I feel like we deserve a little something in return. Again something very small like 5-10 RPs. That way everyone would be encouraged to buff random other people and help the realm to do better overall. Could be part of that “your effort has not gone unnoticed” - and you earn some RPs.
My 2 cents...

Personally I think any healer that heals someone in combat in RvR should get RP's as if they had attacked the target.

As for the healers... didn’t it used to be like that? I thought they gained RPs for healing or resurrecting someone in RvR? Anyway I agree 100% with that as well.

You do get RP's for healing and resurrecting, just not very many. Since the tasks are fairly generous with RP's, I haven't found it to be that big of a deal.

yep, and it spells it out in your /stats also so a healer can see their healing rp contribution.

I can see where this is coming from and while I do see your side of the story I do not think it is a good idea to add this. There is no risk vs reward situation here, as in theory you could buff everyone at PK (no risk) and still get rewarded.

It is also a blurry line: While there is no real doubt you "aided" them by buffing them, should an assassin telling a 8-men that "uber-guild went to SE to rebuff on zone-wall" also get RP's by providing them with (vital) information ? Should a cleric casting resists on someone get RP's ? An archer breaking a blade-turn? A solo-toon in your realm for distracting the enemy long enough so you could land the perfect mezz?

A healer healing you is actually taking a certain risk: They are out there and could be attacked too. A buff becomes much more blurry, in theory you could get RP's on your toon safely at the PK while (a lot of) people are earning RP's for you miles or zones away. Somehow that doesn't feel right to me....

Mezz and heals reward ! Each time i went out with my healer as she was a baby, and mezzed/healed and got crappy 5rps only =((
Only teasing, it's hard to define reward in such cases, as it's situation related. But as somebody said above, doing something active (mezz/heal) means u're in the wild, "taking a risk" and as it, should be rewarded consequently (5rps, really ? ^^)
