Hi,

Why did you give Determination to everyone except Bard and Minstrel? What's the rule, if there is any?

Not sure I would buy it, but do I miss something obvious?

Yes you miss something obvious in that Bard and Minstrel aren't the only classes that didn't get determination. Neither do the pure healing classes, all stealth classes, and all caster/mage classes. Only hybrid melee were given determination and that was the custom change. It was done to make hybrid melee slightly more desirable to grouping.

It has had mixed results as hybrids still don't have as much group appeal as light mdps and heavy tanks.

Minstrels have an already build in Determination called Charm. It removes Root and Mez within a second, costs 0 RA points and only doesn't work against stuns.

Determination were given to the hybrids to even the playing field for them on the same line as light tanks and heavy tanks. Groups would bring a det class over a non-det class just because of efficiency. With DET on hybrids as well they gave the hybrids a breath of life to be viable in this patch for any realm. This makes CC like mezz and casted stun much less efficient over the whole board and fair for any realm. Slam is not affected by DET.

It does make skalds pretty annoying though, and Paladin and Thanes are still underdogs due to their poor design but it will make it easier for the devs of the realm to work on them.

Is this another minst crying that skald can outplay them now and they don't have complete control over the speed6 solo pvp world? Quick, retrieve the tiny violin from the Animists complaining about custom shroom nerfs!

Haha, even tho I chose my words wisely writing this I still have to read such replies.

I didn't ask why Skald has access to it, it's cool. They have choices, I like that.
I just can't see why these two classes don't have it, there is no viable explanation to me.

Thank you for your enlightenment, in return, please accept some help:

Bard and Minsrtel both are hybrid with style lines to sepc in with no access to Determination. Why ?
Please don't bother to reply without basic knowledge. I'm fine with no answer at all tbh.

Probably because they dont need the help while others do. They are both among the strongest and most wanted classes in the game for rvr.

Like others have said, Minstrels already have tools to deal with long-duration CC, through their pet.

It is sort of weird that seemingly all other classes with a melee spec (assassins, archers, hybrid supports) gets DET though...

For Minstrel i just can repeat my previous poster.
Since you dont want such an easy answer, i at least have a good one for the bard side.

Bard is their Realm Main-Mezz-Class, so the Bard is on par with Healers and Sorcerer, both dont have Det, so it would be a mass interference into grp play if one realms Main-CC class would get access to Determination.

Sorc has mezz dampening 55% instead of det.

Ok, stop making up weird explanations out of nowhere lol.
The actual answer is simple: there is absolutely no reason.

Would it be broken ? I mean, it's not free, you have to spend realm points on it.
Would I buy it ? Probably not.
Why do I even ask then ? This is pretty random. I prefere equilibrium.
