Damage shields breaking root - Phoenix Freeshard

Damage shields break root. This never made any sense to me. Because of this, nobody uses damage shields in RvR.

Un-gimp damage shields and remove their effect on CC. If people are being damaged by a damage shield, they can turn attack off.

It's a useless spell for RvR unless you want to help enemy team. It doesn't provide nearly any damage to maintain and is a defensive spell for pve and not pvp in my opinion.

can be useful vs scouts as an assassin interrupts them after slam that they cant shoot imediatly but despite that its pretty useless

Well dmg shild is part of the concept of some classes like the vw, you arent allow to use any style in rvr, because every style could break something, after parry adds a dmg shild, pbaoe dds from styles, castable dmg shild. This gimps the vw additional in Partys.... i guess ist is part of the concept the devs run it on phoenix.

The boring thing is you have only meta chars for party play which strongly excludes some classe while makes some classes mandatory.this counts as well for RAs .... you take some classes with you just because of a certain powerfull ra...

That happened on every Freeshard so far... as on live as well.
Some classes are more usefull then others, so they get into the 'meta'.. and leave the others behind.
This is not DAoC 2004 anymore .. this is DAoC in the Year 2019 and is part of how we all decide to play mmorpg's by now.

Dmg shield always breaked root, why should we change it now? what would that change? close to nothing, so who cares?
