Benefits of claiming a keep?

Unclaimed keeps don’t upgrade so they’re easier for enemy realms to recapture. Keeps aren’t terribly difficult to capture even when claimed but 1fg could capture an unclaimed keep. It would be difficult for 1fg to capture a level 10 keep.

The claiming guild is also notified when a keep is being attacked and the number of attackers in the local area.

So no benefits go to the guild holding it?

If there were some incentives to defend said keep I think that would be awesome. Merit points maybe?

That's a good point about the upgrades though, I didn't think about that.

When your guild only has 2 active members, bragging rights are enough.
