Animist Shrooms Clarification

So i know there are a lot of complaints about Animists shrooming Windows, walls, etc.

My question is, what exactly is an exploit as far as where Animists put shrooms? I know that putting them in Trees, and in areas that players cant attack them, etc is against the rules.

But it has always been that Animists can shroom on top of walls and in windows on live, since they can move their ground targets to that point. Its the same thing as GTPBAOE being placed on walls, through windows, in on keep lord, etc. As unfair as it seems, that's the class.

So i guess my question is, are Animists not allowed to shroom on keep walls and in windows? Or is it more so the shrooming in trees and inside walls that is the issue?

I don't think the ff shrooms can be put on walls unless doors are down now? But you can place the main shroom (herald etc) on the walls however.

I would have to test this. I've been playing a different realm recently, but when i was playing my Animist a couple weeks back, i was able to put them on Ramparts. I dont want to test this if that's against the rules though, so was hoping for some sort of clarity haha.

i don't know much about the animist (haven't played once since the first months of SI ) but regarding your comparison to GTAOEs being placed inside and that FnF-shrooms are similar:

The main difference here, is that GTAOE doesn't require LOS to your GTAOE, while shrooming with an animist does. The way how Animists shroom keepwalls is that they chose a GT that is visible in the air, or overlapping with the keepwall so they get vision to the GT but the shroom cannot be placed there and snaps to the closest location (aka. somewhere the animist couldn't see: on top of the wall e.g.)

They are constantly fixing and working on these issues, so i can't comment how bad/good it is now.

That is incorrect, during last night's relic raid the shrooms were placed in the window openings and on top of the outer wall before the main outer gate was down. I was one of several people that died to the barrage of shrooms, I had gone to resurrect someone and could not get out of range before I died.

You're explanation doesnt make sense. Your comparison of GTAOE vs Shrooming actually explains how they're the same thing. "GTAOE Doesnt require LOS to your GTAOE" and "snaps to the closest location (aka. somewhere the animist couldn't see: on top of the wall e.g.)" just shows that both are done to allow people to cast spells where they don't have LOS.

The difference is that GTAE-Spells don't require LOS to your Groundtarget (the GT of GTAE) while animists need LOS to place shrooms. That the gae mechanically doesn't allow flying shrooms and therefor snaps them to a close allowed location has nothing to do with GTAE-spells that don't require LOS...
Especially since the GTAE spell wouldn't snap, since spells can float

Not to mention Verdant spec Animists abusing the AoE ability on keep doors inside, spamming it killing players on the other side of the gate.. ALSO an exploit of game mechanics... watched as 8 mids died to this ability last night. It's like animists want to be banned or something knowing they are doing it.

Just report 'em.
That being said, those 8 people should probably have paid more attention.

Shrooms are annoying, but they ARE untargeted and need LoS (while they begin casting), people just shouldn't enter zerg fights without healers in their group. I know Animists kind of are uniquely annoying, but if you die to shrooms, you probably would also have died to a well-placed TWF.
