Icestriders....tactics for killing?

I was trying to do and get drops off these all day yesterday.
Problem was my RM has only a root and couple of debuff

If the strider resists and will not be killed and resists my root I’m dead. Depending on its cycle the root doesn’t even grant me time to move and cast.

Once the mob starts casting it finishes, thereby permanent interrupting me as I’ve blown my quick cast on the resisted root or finishing blow.

Is there something I’m missing? It’s pretty much root/did till dead

What you are missing is a pac healer to stun on inc. I wouldn't try to solo icestriders unless I was on a melee toon, and even then it's a pita. Find another mob for items

Yea
No issue with melee classes or pet classes
Pets either cast or melee is fine

But it’s the only level 47 task turn in
