How does gearing work?

Hi all,

Just started Phoenix and having a blast. I just had a question however, regarding end game. I noticed throughout leveling, loot tables have been altered and replaced with ROG items that are ultimately useful for faster leveling. I was wondering however if this goes on until end game. So do we still rely on ROG drops for ultimate gear at 50? Or at that point, will people try to farm for some BIS gear for RvR?

Thanks,

It's a bit of a mix, generaly you'd spend feathers on certain items, like the SI raid dungeon chests, weapons and jewelry with charges/high utility and fill in the rest with nice rogs and spellcrafted gear to round it all up.

I'm putting together a lame temp.

I used one piece of epic armor, 5 piece 33.5 99 qual oc.

The stones neck and coin, and staff, and a bunch of rog i got.

When I played on beta I overestimated and thought I had to put a lot of time and effort in to getting the best RoG pieces. Turns out I was very wrong. You can go on raids to get really strong RoGs, or just join a farming group and just pick the 60+ rog you need and spellcraft the rest.

Making templates on Phoenix is a cake walk.

i use 50-60 utility rogs, raid vest and crafted 99% armor. Everything is capped, even though its a weaponless temp.
