Challenge Mode bugged ?
Iarnvidiurs Lair
I am going to cross post this to Mid/Support Center and PvE.

I have been using this place to Gear up my guild and to PL people. We have been running it multiple times a week. I know the drop rates and the drop quality. I have taken both one and two full groups through and 75 utility is not out of the question. I have run people through in my guild (Mordred) and multiple other guilds. Rampage now also farms this place as well.

Last night we decided to run it in challenge mode. We had 2FG. Other than the hits being higher with all of the mobs there was no significant change to the dungeon. We ran with a /bg and set a treasurer. The drops were awful, past the point of statistical probability. There were fewer drops and ALL drops were of lesser utility value. On challenge mode the fish boss dropped 3 40 utility items. Even the salvage gear was less frequent.
This was not the first time we noticed this. We also were farming TH using it for ROGs and for PL, until it got too crowded. The same issues occurred when we were Farming Yar. Drops in challenge were worse than drops in normal.

We then go back and run not in challenge. 1FG. The others left due to the crap drops. The very first item was an 81 utility necklace. And the hits kept coming. Filled two bags with decent to excellent utility rog items. (81 is not the highest we have seen, an 86 dropped earlier in the week). Almost twice the amount of salvage metal, drops were MUCH better and its faster overall to not in challenge.

To be very honest it did not mentally click with me until last night.

I do not recommend turning on Challenge mode at all.

I disagree and I recommend turning on challenge mode for XP, since the base XP is 40% higher when fighting proper purple mobs.
