Why so few magic ? - Phoenix Freeshard

Hi !
I wonder, why so few sm / rm and bd here ? Every time I connect, only see lfm mdps (or for obviously healer)
Last night a /who all and /who sm show me a 100 ppl and 5/6 sm for example ^^
Weak magic at this patch level or it’s a midgarian thing ?
With the 50 focus since starting gear and a faster regen I don’t see why so few, anything I miss ?

Tank is easy to play and within the meta (det3 for hybrids). So it's gonna be tank heavy except for set grps imo =)

It's true there is a shortage of SMs/RMs. Midgard may be the "melee realm" so most people want to play that. However...

I've been trying to run in a bomb/aoe group for most my time and we level so quickly that the aoe casters are always progressing at a faster pace. Thus there may just be fewer available aoe casters to group with at lower levels. A properly built bomb group (2-3 SM, pac healer, aug shaman, 1-2 taunt melee) works better, is more efficient, but is more difficult to execute than a mez/tank/spank group.

More people should roll casters for leveling in Midgard. The problem comes when RvR starts and most group set-ups veer towards melee and rarely casters. Maybe that will be different on Phoenix.

This part surprised me. Don't often see BD's in people definition of 'prime group' at least not that I've ever seen.

Bd is a awesome interrupted with multiple pets... plus they steal do good dps but if it doesn't work out we will just trade out for small or another tank... not to hard to level or template from what I have seen

That definitely makes sense. Plus BD's are amazing for farming.

i dont know why that is the case.

its so stupid people only think melee dps can work in rvr. we ran 2 bds on uth and dominated. even with a pug.
