What should I roll?

Starting fresh, finally have some time to play.

I am Australian, so will play during off hours mostly, so I expect I will have to solo to level.

I'm open to playing anything really, but I love Thane and always have. It was my first 50 on Mid/Merlin and I played him right up to the end in 2018.

Skalds are fun. Shaman could be good, I hear theyr'e great at AOE pulling and farming mobs to get stuff to salvage. Bonedancer I haven't played since Trials of Atlantis but they look fun.

What is needed?
What do people hate?

If you are solo a Thane wouldn't be bad but honestly I don't see a lot of them in rvr groups. Solo Skald for speed roaming finding fights is honestly probably the best since at least you have a chance of outrunning 8mans. A BD or sham will certainly help you trinket for coin to template your other chars as melee hybrids tend to get pretty expensive to template. You're on the right track.
