Thane Magic Frostalf - Phoenix Freeshard

Hello,
Just asking myself if someone had already tried a "Magical Oriented" Thane
I wanna try that kind with a frostalf with a final spec like that : 39 weapon (axe maybe), 50 SC, and 42 Shield (rest parry)
Does someone already do it? some pro and cons?

I think that's the common thane spec. If you aren't utilizing the magic then you're just a gimped warrior. Just don't break mezzes with the hammers in rvr!

You should consider going hammer: less endurance costs overall, back style snare, and it fits way too perfectly in the whole class theme!

My Live-Thane was a Frostalf Thane, and he hit like a truck with his DDs, but it'd be a mistake not to play your Hybrid like, well, a Hybrid.

Stormcalling has even been buffed on this server compared to what it was in this era of DAoC.

50 SC
42 Shield
39 Hammer
Rest Parry

Hammer is by far the best weapon option, at least for grouping.

Go Frostalf or Dwarf

I think it will work pretty well here. In a structured group where your melee is purely for peeling/snaring you def wont miss the extra strength. If thanes had DD on melee styles i think Frosty would be the only choice .

My only concern is for small groups/solo You will need a little more kick in that melee. You can prefer to cast all day but you be eventually be called to use that hammer to decide how a fight will go and for this reason (i solo/small alot) Im going troll with a strong emphasis on dex/pie.

So far i love it. I def get envious of a frosty dex/pie then i just grab a 2h hammer and hit something. Then .. ALL BETTER!
