I want to play Solo most of the time since my RL friends are in a different time zone. Which is a better solo RVR class (SB or Hunter) and why? I also looked at BD but it seems like it wouldn't do great solo?
I thnk both a SB or Hunter would work. Basically if you like to do ranged dmg at all... I would make a hunter. If not, In melee only, I think SB would be better. I'm thinking about trying a melee focused hunter with high spear and pet and minimal bow/stealth as my solo stealther. Leveling a SM to farm first though.
I think Bonedancer is one of the better solo casters. PvP kills may require a lot of kiting, but suppression BD are pretty tanky with the instant lifetap and healer pets.
I've played both Assassin and Archer classes at 50 RVR, so I guess in general I had more fun with the Assassin play style.
I felt it was easier with the Assassin. I could lie in wait at a choke point and pop someone, kill them quickly, and disappear nearly instantly.
With my Archer, it was a pain trying to ambush someone who was moving. You have to be really good at timing when you release your first shot.
When I'd open up on someone, the first shot would usually be absorbed by PBT or shield. Then they would just run away or run towards me at 100% health.
I was not good at Archer though, so take my comment with a grain of salt.
