Runemaster - blue vs yellow pbt

First time playing RM and just hit lvl 40. I’ve been mostly RC up until now, I tried going full Supp for yellow PBT but felt my DPS go way down. I was told yellow PBT would get me into higher lvl xp groups easier, but is it that much of a difference between blue and yellow?

Is it more of a preference of what I want my role to be in groups?

Any opinions on this or just general spec advice for leveling from 40-50 would be great. Thanks!
