Difference in SM pets ?

I have played Cabby and Enchanter and understand the different abilities that their pets have. I don't know much about SM, tho...are their pets similar in that each has its own set of unique abilities ? There must be *some* difference, else there would only be one pet that scales as you level, right ? Also, is there a caster SM pet, like Enchanter has ?

Thanks !!!

Sm pets gain attributes as your skill gets higher
So it’s cumulative
You don’t pick the one you want like chanter or cabby

The Phoenix charplanner shows a new SM pet at level 1, 7, 12, 20 and 32. So you obviously *do* pick the one you want. My question is what is the difference is these 5 pets ? If there was no difference, there would only be one pet that grows with you as you level, which seems to be what you are saying. But why then would there be all these different pets, just like with Cabby and Chanter ?

Or am I just not understanding what you are saying ?

You would only ever cast the highest skill pet you have
I don’t know the attributes but example
1. Pet does nothing
2 pet intercepts
3 pet intercepts and stuns
4 pet intercepts stuns and pleasures you

Obviously you *do not* read. The abilities gained at each new level are cumulative, so use the highest one you can cast.
