Shadowgnash - Phoenix Freeshard

Does Shadowgnash (named Pooka) still drop the Pooka Lord's Mantle? Is it just a super rare drop, or do you have to have a quest first before he will drop it?

Also is there any purpose on this server for the Shape Changer named drop items (Head, etc) from Shadowgnash?

Ok so after two days of camping this mob I finally got the Pooka mantle drop, so it must just be a very rare drop. The other questions are still relevant though about the Shape Changer items (do they have any use or are just vendor trash)?

Also can you get and use multiple of the Pooka mantles for their dex/qui charges?

The mantle drop is fairy rare but when I have farmed its maybe 1 in 5. Obviously they may have patched/changed it between when I, and you; were farming.

Having multiple mantle's does not really help as you can only get +75dex/quick. The second mantle will not stack.
- In RvR it's unlikely that having two in your inventory for a total of 20 charges is relevant you'll likely die, release and can recharge anyway.
- In PvE it may be relevant if you farm for long enough to use all charges on a single mantle.

I believe the other loot in capitals can be turned into some trophies for the housing zone but this isnt live in the beta yet. (I may be wrong).

Thanks. Yeah I know you can't have stacking +75 dex/qui charges I was wanting multiple ones to be able to be out in the field longer before being out of charges.

bit of a necropost i gues, but is the mantle a OTD or rare drop here? Because Shadowgnash is allready the most annoying mob on the server to find :>

Ok i killed the mob in cursed forest and didn't drop anything except some gold.
So i guess it's a rare drop.

ps: for people looking for him, he doesnt look spectral, he looks like an ordinary Pooka (edit: unless he shapechanges?)

It is not 100% sure but 99% that we wont have any OTDs (still discussing it). Some important OTDs like this from Shadowgnash will drop as normal loot if we will not implement OTDs.

thats fine :> Maybe even better as you can get multiple that way. Unless there's a check if you already looted the item. But i don't think so
