No ranger expert here, but since no one else have answered...
Slash is better against most stealthers (thrust is stronger against scout).

With that in mind, Celt looks like the stronger option for melee, but Luri will obviously do a bit more dmg with archery and stealthers might not be the only people you fight.
Imo:
Luri (Pierce): 10 str/con/dex
Celt (Blades): 10 str / 15 dex
