Tried the ranger out, but wasn't happy as i wouldve thought. I really want to enjoy playing the NS, but struggling with a effective spec to use. Also what weapon speeds should i try to have for weapons to do the most dmg.
19 Stealth 15 Blades or Pierce 18 CD (for side stun) 10 CS (Just to get BSII as an opener) 15 Envenom (for the level 20 DoT)
Missing the Weapon Skill/Con debuff is not ideal, but you should be able to kill people quick enough that it won't matter. The side stun in CD is a massive help, as you likely won't have another stun that isn't from stealth unless you spec 21 blades. You could even drop CS all the way down, and add some weapon/envenom if you wanted to. Ice Storm is just as good an opener as BSII most of the time anyway, and the growth rate on PA seems to be broken at low levels. As far as weapon speeds, I always try to use the slowest ones possible at first, but having a variety of speeds on you is nice, plus you will be switching them constantly to re-apply your DoT proc on pesky targets. Hope this helps!

If you open with BS2, will you even be able to profit from the 18CD side stun? Isn't there a immunity window on stun?
Yeah, there is an immunity window for stun. The side stun is just so versatile though. It's really helpful against other assassins that pop you out of stealth so you don't have a chance to use an opener. I found myself using it a lot more than BSII personally, only relying on the stealth opener for targets I know would have bubble. Plus the side stun is 4 seconds, as opposed to 3 for BSII.
