New on Hib - Phoenix Freeshard

Thinking of starting on Phoenix, as hib.
Wondering about good choices in what class to play.
What gets inv to groups, both in pve and rvr?

I have my eyes leaning towards Warden or Eldritch, but unsure about how wanted they are..

Do i need a farm-class, i mean really need one ?

Farming class hands down would be animist.

Easy enough to level as an eld everyone will want you in the "bomb" group (pbaoe)

Champions are god tier soloers for RVR if that's what youre in to, but prepare to level a lot solo which isn't very difficult here.

Every 8 man runs a warden.

At some extent, and depends from timezones, every class is needed in 8v8 or smallmen.

For istance, yesterdaynight, we were looking for an enchanter for the whole EUtz primetime.

In the end, if you are good and willing to use discord, everyone will welcome you.

If I'd have to make a list of the most needed overall classes, in order: druid, peeler (any melee with slam and animist), warden, bard.

Anyway, you will eventually have a couple of lvl 50 anyway. Just dont roll a stealther!
A farming toon? Most of tp wont need it. Caster's tp is really cheap.

I didnt check what was fotm or anything before i made myself a melee dps class champ on Hibernia..

I chose champion and actually finds it pretty fun to play.

But as ppl say dont play it if u want a group.

So far i think ive been in a grp 2 times, the rest of the time ive been out solo playing, so unless u got the time to play champion and like the solitude dont go there

Mighty lvl 45 atm, cant wait till I get to 50 and then go 8v8 man in RvR.. no wait! not gonna happen

Most of champions dont get invite in 8v8 cuz they have no shield.
The good one, who uses shield, has always a spot

With other words, if you are a good player, use disco to communicate, and willing to adapt your spec to group needs, you will get groups.

Thanks good info, I've heard a lot about hib being very elitist and not accepting classes in pve / RvR outside of X Y and Z fotm.

Already hibs being at disadvantage due to current emain long run, if you in your own realm acted elitist or unfriendly vs new players (be it fresh blood or old school rerollers etc) then obviously player numbers will start to dwindle.

Hope you guys get a fresh of breath air to strengthen your numbers and ease your Emain access!

if your new my advice is to re-roll alb/mid .. Instant access to rvr/pvp in emain. Emain is where 95% of all rvr happens . GL

if you are a bad player who likes to zerg a lot cuz u lack of effort and skill, roll alb or even mid.
If ou are above average roll hib.

Quite the opposite, most champions have yellow debuffs and slam, so... Hmmm...
