Mentalist Thid during stress test weekend

Something I noticed during the stress test weekend while in Thid. Several mentalist players I grouped with remained mana spec. I asked if they remembered they could respec to light for thid play then back to mana when leveling. Most said for Thid, mana was enough. They did ok, but playing as a bard meant kiting for a few moments longer. Kinda wanted them dead quicker

I didn't play during the beta period so maybe this was done then?

Sounds like a personal preference more than a server dynamic. If they're experienced menties, then they're just used to being mana spec at that level.

I've never liked the AOE DOT/ run like hell playstyle, so I'm thrilled that easy availability of power regen pots means I don't have to play a mana spec to level. But I appear to be in a minority on that point.

How "easy" is "easy" ?

May have been referencing how quickly you can lvl up your crafting on this server with any character would be my guess.

I base that statement off the fact that I'm a very casual player and I was making my own pots before i40. (Not sure if before i30.) Cash isn't hard to get, crafting is super fast, and power regens are only 529 difficulty.

It's going to take appreciable skill and feathers to make full barrels of the buff-alls, but the 10-use single stat or regen potions can be made pretty early on. They have timers that won't allow them to all be used at once, which is annoying, but staggering potions wasn't difficult.
