Do both Mentalist DoTs stack with the AoE DoT? So 3 DoTs total?

The baseline mentalism DoT stacks with the two in Holism. Spec Mana dot will not stack with aoe in the same path.

Reason is dots stack only if they are in different timers. i.e. 4 sec and 6 sec ticks will stack. Sice both Mana spec single and aoe are on same timer, they do not. That is why Shaman single and aoe stacks.

No it's if they have the same type of resist they won't stack.

I thought I remembered shaman dot stacking and they are same resist type. Same with cabalist.

Shaman dots stack because they are different damage types. AoE is Matter, single is Body.

Look at menty. They have 3 dots, but one of the spec dots is the same damage type as the base, so the spec will overwrite the base.

E: Cabalist has Matter spec aoe dot and Matter spec dot. Don’t remember if they stack.

Base menty dot is Energy, spec dot is Energy, so spec will always overwrite base.

E2: in addition to damage type overwriting, different frequency tics wont overwrite. Menty aoe dot is 4 second tic Energy, base/spec singles are 6 second tic Energy.

Cabby AoE dot/ single dot is wierd. They shouldn’t stack. Both are 4s frequency and Matter type. I don’t remember if they stack or not. No base dot at 6s frequency.

Please see the following thread. You were right until an earlier patch. I was wrong though. It is one spec and one base. That is why cabby can stack.

You are wrong again it's simple which damage type it is. Two different = stack, same = no stack simple as that.

You are wrong again it's simple which damage type it is. Two different = stack, same = no stack simple as that.

None of Cabby’s should stack then, but Base and either Spec will, just the same as Menty, Shaman and BD.

E:Cabalist DoTs are all Matter based. None of them should stack, but only the two spec won’t. Why? Cabalist base dot is 5s freq, both specs are 4s freq.
