I was in a group playing my druid and I buffed a mage with my yellow spec dex/quick so that the mage can get faster cast speed from the dex and the other druid in the group went ballistic asking why I buffed a mage with dex/quick. We were in the middle of the frontier fighting so I didn't really respond to him but correct me if i'm wrong isn't buffing a mage with the dex/quick spec buff help their cast speed?

yes, dex/qui is a must on caster for buffs. the other druid was either a) dumb and doesnt know his role, b) has a higher mastery of arcane and wanted his d/q on the mage for better buffs.
either way, combat buffing mid fight is no place to argue about whos got the better d/q..

Yes dex is for casting speed so you buff casters with dex/quick.

the only thing i could guess at is he had higher nurture or the RA that raises buffing but he didn't specifically say "I have higher nurture let me buff" Between healing, ressing, and trying not to die I didn't have time to go back and forth with what his issue was. He actually demanded that I answer him why I buffed the mage with dex/quick as if he was trying to shame me over something.

I play an eld ... and i WANT dex/qui if a druid is in grp ^^
Full buffed my eld speed up to 360 dex and i can cast very fast
Without dex/qui buff i cant attain 360 dex and cast slower ...
That druid was completely wrong
