CD/Blades anytime? - Phoenix Freeshard

So fireblade with its follow up
Or the CD anytime with it’s folliwup ?

Don’t think I could pull it now but maybe in a couple route RR’s when I can drop envenom/stealth

100% Blades anytime chain. CD just plain sucks style-wise except for two styles: side stun and rear snare. With the Blades anytime chain you get decent DPS+ASR.

Honestly you could max out CD at 18CD and not miss much other than extra offhand swings.

Is offhand swing % based on speed or composite?

It's a composite, so you want max +CD in your temp even if you don't use any CD styles (except for side stun and rear snare).

This also means your offhand swing % creeps up higher, ever so slowly, as you gain RR.

So for a CS NS (44 CS 39 Blade) is better to use Blades Anytime chain (Fire Blade + Spectrum Blade) or a CS Anytime chain (Garrote + Achilles Heel) ?

Well if you go by the character planner there is no contest
The growth rate on the CS chain is far greater

It depends on the situation. If you're just putting out raw DPS then go with CS chain because it has better growth rates, just watch your endurance usage. If you're getting hammered by your opponent, use the Blades chain because the Blades chain has +defense styles (2nd in chain) whereas the CS has only -defense styles, plus Blades chain is a higher ASR.

Fireblade - low defense penalty
Spectrum Blade - medium defense bonus, 30% asr (was always 34% on live, I don't know why Phoenix Charplan says 30 here)

Garrote - medium defense penalty
Achilles Heel - nothing, 22% asr
