Blademaster newb - Phoenix Freeshard

First off ive always played mid or alb and want to give hib a go on this server so im newb to hib

I want to play blademaster so im looking for any input. Race, spec, pros cons etc any input is greatly appreciated

I like celt and furby for race. Spec 42shield, 50 offhand, comp 50 mainhand for a group specced BM.

Solo spec maybe more party, but most of your damage will still be in the area of triple wield and slam/positionals.

Does anyone play an Elf Blademaster spec in Pierce?

I have been killed by an Elf/Pierce BM, so there is at least one.

Statwise go for Firbolg if you aim for max dps, even for pierce.
Pierce DPS Calculation ist 50/50 Str/Dex and the good Firby even outweighs, theoretical Luri BM.

You can consider to put 10dex 15qui - or just 10str 10dex 10qui depends on you, differences are marginal.

Speccwise go for 50 CD - 42 Shield - 39 Weap - rest pierce, maybe less weapon and more parry if you aim to do some smallman/solo RVR, but you could also consider to pull some points out of Weapon with higher RR so, but I would never skip the comp 50 Weap.

50 CD 34 Pierce 46 Parry (I would play this, but would get laughed at for not being meta.)
50 CD 34 Pierce 20 Parry 42 Shield (effin meta - zero points left over)

70 years ago (I's old and can't 'member the dates no mo) there was a ShieldMaster on my server.

He'd equip an offhand weapon when peeps would threaten to kick him from the group. Although BMs have worse armor than Heroes and do not have access to MoBlock, they have Evade 3 and Advanced Evade.

FWIW, my main way back then was a Firbolg BluntMaster named Coz on Lancelot. This was back when BMs were so bad that nobody played them. I was #1 on the server for a looong time because all the good melee tank players were Heroes, with quite a few melee Rangers and Nightshades. My build wasn't that great, but I would wreck many Armsmen and most Paladins. I'd probably get laughed off the server if I recreated that twerp:

That 10 second stun from Stunning Blow - Devastating Blow would allow me to execute the Super Nova 3 step sequence again.

Yea go 42 shield or forever /lfg.

If you have friends to play with, I prefer split spec personally. 50 dual wield, composite pierce/blades. Weapon swap for optimal damage vs armor, ride the train. One split spec BM is not a liability in tank setups, in my opinion.

If they reduce slam timer here, or remove 9 sec slam from offtanks, this is without a doubt the spec I would run.

I did in Molvik on live. As an Elf BM I would run around with my bow out and have armor dyed greens and browns with a green cloak. Started all attacks with the shortbow to fool people into thinking that I was a Ranger. Let them close the distance then annihilate them
