They are great soloers against many classes. However, the problem is you will encounter mostly assassins and archer grps, both of which will kill you easily.
49 mana, 22 light. Debuff and kite for your underhill companion.
Vs assassins:
If you get PA’d, wait for creeping death, purge+heal pot+legion heal and run. If your pet snares the assassin, you win. If the pet snare nuke resists (15%~ chance to resist) you lose. If you are high enough rvr and can moc5 pbaoe amd have enough physical defense, you might win. You will have to kill your pet and summon an underhill ally to heal through the poisons to live.
Don’t bother quickcast stunning, they won’t bother attacking you if purge isn’t up.
Vs skalds:
if they mez your pet, release your pet and quickcast your underhill companion. Kite around the pet. Debuff stun the skald and nuke when you get enough range. Save your quickcast for resummoning your pet.
If they mez you and try to kill your pet, purge the mez.
This fight is about who sees whom first. If the skald gets to you before you break his speed it is a hard fight.
Vs minstrels
If you see the minstrel first, try to stun/kill the pet if the minstrel doesn’t see you.
If the minstrel does see you, interrupt the minstrel with your melee debuff and put the snare pet on the minstrel. Kite out his pet and don’t get within 700 range of the minstrel.
Vs bonedancer:
Try to kill the disease pet first. Put your underhill companion on the BD. Snare him once then passive your pet so it doesn’t go melee the BD and break the snare. Kite the bd pets out of range of the bd and stun debuff nuke the commander. If it’s a supp bd the healer pets can’t heal the pet fast enough. If it’s a dark bd, you will have to interrupt at least one of the caster pets or kill it befor killing the commander. To kill the bd, you will have to kill him in stun. If he purges stun, snare him with the pet, passive the pet and kite. Once you get enough RR just moc5 nuke the bd down. It’s a really long and annoying fight otherwise.
Vs cab:
Stun the pet. Stun nuke the cab. If the cab sees you first, don’t bother. The cab can’t kill you since you have speed. If the cab pet gets on you with your speed broken, it’s gg. Snare the pet off of you with your pet and kite. You can kill noob cabs that don’t see you. You dictate the fight and the engage with your speed.
All the other matchups are pretty easy. It’s just a matter of managing your pet, distance, kiting, and knowing when you have a window to debuff stun nuke.
vs Thanes
This is tricky as they can interrupt you with their instant. If this happens, you need to kite immediately. Don't let him get close and dont MoC PBAOE him, you get stunlocked with Slam+Static. You need to kite a lot and never get close. Once they purged your stun they do try to run away if they are not close enough, so make sure to passive/attack reset your pet accordingly to keep the snare nuke up.
vs Reaver
They have too much ranged rupt to fight a kite battle. Dont qc stun, save your qc to resummon pet, just let him get close, purge his slam immediately and MoC PBAOE his sorry excuse for a cheese Class (make sure to /face him). That's the moment when they usually try to run away, make sure your pet hit with snare and chase him down. Be wary to reset your pet when he rupts it, to prevent it going into melee.
vs most enemies
Your engage = Win. Pet classes -> kill pet. IF you pet gets rooted/cc = qc resummon. in general never waste qc for a stun, only maybe vs Hunters.
