Debuff charges on gloves / boots

Heya,

just a short question which came into my mind this morning. Wouldn't it make sense (at least for 1on1 focussed classes) to do charges like dex/qui or str/con debuffs instead of reactive procs on armor pieces which have a relatively low hit chance (boots/gloves)?

As the chance to hit those pieces is already at 3% (http://disorder.dk/daoc/armor-hit-chance-and-location/), the chance that some reactive proc is triggered should be even lower. Or is the proc on boots higher than on a chest for example?

What are your thoughts on this?

iirc its 5% hit chance for feet and hands, not 3%.

OP makes a good point. May be worth it to put a debuff charge on hands/boots since their proc rarely goes off.

However, since it’s a charge item you’ll have to share it’s cooldown with other charged items from inventory, right? I’d rather have the 240 heal charge from Legion Heart available than a purgable debuff

Yeh, you're right. Timer is shared with other charge items. As the legion item heal is super strong a debuff doesn't really make sense. Got it nevertheless in my temp now. However not on boots/gloves but on otryggs darkened cloak. Just as a backup tho, in case legion item should be out of charges.
