Thinking of rolling a farm class to bankroll my other alts - Which one?

I'm assuming it would be between Necro and Cabby, correct?

If not, are there better farming classes out there?

Also, I know Cabbies spec Matter for PVE but I'm unfamiliar with Necros...Deathsight or something?

I'd go Cabby myself, since Cabby is also a very desired RvR class, if you ever wanted to take it into RvR.

Matter Cabby is nasty filthy fast with the right camps.

Necromancer or Cabalist are definitely your best two options. Necro can go either Deathsight for Battery and chain soloing reds/one (can do low purples with some acuity and dex pots) or servant to aoe down tons of blues/yellows solo. In a group either matter cab or servant necro is great, I personally prefer the servant necro as the pet feels tankier and having your own pbae is nice.

The above point about being to RvR on a cabalist is true, but if you're making the character exclusively for farming, as full matter cab you're about as desirable as necro is anyways (not very much).

I plan on making my char exclusively a PVE farmer, but you never know...things could change.

I might be more comfortable on a Cabby though.

Cabby definitely has better "longterm" options if you decide you want to respec it for RvR later.
