Newish to DAOC and alb , some questions.

Hi all ,

I'm sorta of new player to daoc as my only experience with the game was this server beta for about 2 months, I played Hibernia and learned a lot . I decided to main Albion (that emain run is just a turn off) but do have some questions:

1.In Hib it was rather easy to get S/C (kill stag ) and D/Q items (shadowgnash) what about Albion ? Who drop them and are the groupable? I also got AF charge item , any other items to go for , I'll mainly play Infiltrator.
- See https://forum.playphoenix.online/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3165 but probably you are looking at Dure'ek's Cloak of the Embrace for Str/Con and Sys'sro's Belt of Parry for Dex/Qui. You can use a billion things for AF including your chest item from the Epic rewards. Remember you don't have to have non-offensive charge items equipped to use them. You can kill those mobs with a group or less but usually its easier/faster to just buy them for 10k feathers.

2. What is the high end dungeon that people farm ROG/Feathers ?
Caer Sidi, not sure how effective Krondor is for feather farming but it's an option I guess. Much more 1 group sized feather farming the Llyn Barfog bosses.

3. Galla was the raid in hib , what's the equivalent is Albion?

4 . I want to roll a raid tank plus occasionally do pvp with it what's better Armsman , Paladin , Reaver or Merc ?
If you want to actually tank bosses in the raid then Armsman or Paladin. If you want to get group invites for RvR with it then probably Armsman > Merc > Paladin > Reaver but just depends.

5. As mentioned above, I'm going to main an Infiltrator because my time will be limited, playing NS in hib I got an idea (seems all 3 realms assassins classes spec the same?) Are there different specs for Infiltrators that are viable or is all the same CS for PA+stun , 39 weapon, stealth least at 35 rest on Dual?. I was thinking looking at the thrust lv50 9 sec stun and high Dual if that works but hardly CS. Any opinion helps me understand this game more.
At this time Dragonfang (level 50 Thrust style) is very good. It may become less good as people get higher RR and start buying purge 3/4/5. If that happens just lower Thrust and use Beartooth which is still 6 seconds. I am 39 CS and 50 Thrust and doing quite well.

Leveling tips because I soloed my Infiltrator all the way to 50:
- Spec thrust and DW at about 75% of your level and put the rest in envenom. You will get a lot of +skill gear which will overcap your thrust/dw usually and keep envenom up enough to have a reasonable DoT. Put a second dot on another weapon (2h slot) in case your first one is resisted.
- I would typically get someone to give me damage add and haste or damage shield, get hastener speed, port somewhere and kill enough mobs to complete the first rank of a task. Then repeat on a different mob type. A few times there were very easy to kill mobs that I might go to rank 2 or 3 but I usually ported back and got damage add again.
- Even a weak endurance pot will be enough to never wait for endo. Stat buff pots certainly help too.
- This was all before mobs got bonus exp based on how rare they were killed so you could focus more on that as well but I basically didn't grind mobs except to complete a task.
- Obviously use all the item turn ins you can (some are pretty cheap in housing). I took a spreadsheet someone started and added new columns to keep track of what I had, turned in, and when I would turn them in. Feel free to make a copy for your own use. I tried to update mob levels because I wanted to know when things would be yellow and easy enough to farm but it's not complete. I didn't bother farming any xp items in frontiers.
