Infiltrator easy to level? - Phoenix Freeshard

Will be leveling a saracen infil was curious if the solo grind is half way decent.

Honestly, it really depends on how you like to play. If you dont mind being efficient and just grinding tasks, xp items, and eggs to level. It's really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Over the weekend i went from 31-41 just grinding xp items and kill tasks. So dont let all the whiners fool you. It can be done quickly and efficiently. Keep in mind I didnt say it was fun. It's boring as hell, but not necessarily slow.

Do you want to group...like ever? Forget about infiltrator immediately. I'm currently 42 and only had one group from the time i made the character to 42. So if you want to be a little more social, group, and/or have more of a complete mmo experience I would not recommend infiltrator.

my 1st ever lvl 50 since daoc release was an infiltrator and it took me over 3 months to hit 50 LOL! ;P so that i'm not to worried about was just curious on mob difficulty etc.. just wanting to get to 50 asap so i can get templated and RvR is all.

being social wise etc, doesn't really concern me and grouping wise as well since i have a little one i'll be AFK quite a bit.. xD! i've played stealthers most of my DAoC career ending with a RR11 hunter on live.

leveling now is so EZ Mode. I leveled 2 50s (druid and ranger) in a total of 5 days actual played. The ranger had a total of one group for a total of 2 levels gained, the rest was solo. Take advantage of the following to boost your xp during your leveling:

Phoenix Eggs turned into any trainer

RVR task items; make sure every fifteen minutes you are turning in branches in the RvR task zone.. this is a HUGE amount of XP every 15 min. Alternatively, you can just damage or take damage from an enemy to complete the 15 minutes worth of XP.

Personal tasks: kill X number of humanoids, insects, magical, elemental, undead etc. If you do this in DF, you can have up to 4 personal task rolling at once!

XP item stacks. If you must grind, check out the Wiki and the collection quests.. Grind on mobs that drop XP items. These get turned into an NPC for up to a full level.

As an Assassin class, you most likely want to spec full weapon at level, and envenom one level below. As an inf, you get more points per level so this should be very easy. Dot your weapons, bow pull and melt face.

If you played an infiltrator on DAoC back in the day you will definitely be fine. If anything, it's faster now leveling with the eggs, kill tasks, and xp items. Your biggest enemy will of course be mob aggro. You can do yellow and under easily, with really good gear I've even taken on two yellows at once and won, but that wasn't until around 35+ when i had access to better skills and the higher evade chance. There have been a few levels here and there when i couldnt do yellows at all. I leveled so fast i think I had too much of a gear gap and needed to equip back up. The random drops are usually decent though. So a little grinding will gear you back up decently.

Once you hit 18, Max CS. Weapon and envenom to composite level (or as close as possible), rest in DW.

You don't use CS for the from stealth stuff, but the weapon skills in CS will do more damage than anything in the other lines.

if i want to get some RR going into Thidranki etc, shouldn't i go comp stealth too??
how many respecs are we aloud on this server?

There are infinite respecs until level 50 or RR3 - whichever you hit first. But i think even after you hit 50 you are still allowed one more free one, but after that you'll need respec stones or whatever to change.

Wouldn't it be better to respec to full CS at 25? Achilles Heel seems to be the star of the show in that chain.

Would be a lot to give up just for Garrote at 18.

Like others have said, it isnt all that bad and I quite enjoyed it. That heing said, infil was first on my list and in the first week of playing I not only got 50...

I got Legendary Spellcrafting, Tailor and maxed out on hinge. I also managed to get nearly RR3 before reaching level 50.

I did all that without grouping too and in 5 days.

If you get groups, great, it goes much quicker.

If you solo, /task personal. Spec mellee and keep Venom combined with level and its pretty easy.
