High parry=anti dual wield?

Has anyone tried an armsman/warrior/hero with high parry + MoParry to see its effectiveness vs dual wielders?

It’s my understanding that dual wield does not reduce parry rate, and if the main hand is blocked or parried then the style fails.

I know the standard armsman spec is 50 pole, 42 shield, 39 weapon. I want to try 50 pole, 39 wrap, 44 parry and be an anti dual wielder. Is it feasible?

Polearmsmen want to get hit with styles though.

You planning on soloing? It could work against assassins, anything 2h will halve your parry-rate though.

Parry also isn't very good against multiple attackers.

Do whatever you want solo, Slam is way too strong to give up for anything else.

Sure it works! Best hard-counter against assassins is probably a Merc with high Parry. Not only will you have 50% parry rate, you lower their evade with Dual Wield, too. Your DW parry combo is decent as well and I do not have to mention Dirty Tricks...
However, you will get zerged down like any other non-stealther and the good assassins will either team up on you or just ignore you. It is no fair fight 1v1 against assassins at all.

Losing slam is too costly. It is the most powerful ability melees get and it isn’t even close. If you still have your respec and you don’t go too ham template-wise to make the spec work it could be fun to try, but I’d assume it just isn’t going to work all that well. You will have literally no way to deal with multiples who are smart enough to garrote spam and kite out when they are low.

If you are effective against stealthers they will simply stop attacking you.

This is true for groups and low RR fights, but 99% of all stealthers who choose to attack an Armsman will either be very bad or they at least have Purge up. So having 50% passive Parry rate in 1v1 situations looks much better than slam to me.

Correct, Stealthers only attack when they think their chances are good.
