Friar style change

In light of the proposed changes to styles that remove 3+ style chains and bleeds. Obviously this will effect reavers (cobra) and VWs(blizzard) most.

Yet I am wondering how this will impact friars!
Firstly, I suspect this change:
From: Friars friend>banish>stunning staff
To: friars friend>stunning staff
This is a buff and may see the first viable 44staff friar specc on the server (at least for solo)

Secondly, friars have a very weird set of after evades with bleeds on two styles:
Figure 8>friars ally(stun)
Figure 8>double strike(bleed)
Counter evade>friars fury(bleed)
I have no idea how they will change this. But it would be difficult to make the state of them worse!

Finally, I suspect if they spend anytime looking at staff line they will spot that excommunicate is one of the most useless styles in the game.Hopefully they’ll change it to be powerful enough so that there is a chance maybe one friar may possibly specc 50staff... (this was previously made useful by chaining it off an anytime and adding a heal & DD and giving friars 1.8 specc points.)

What do you fellow friars reckon...?
& What will become of Banish?

Maybe make the 50 style a pbaoe heal over time second in chain for evade or parry?

That might be a little to extreme, but if you higher than 36 in staff your rejuv and parry is likely too low assuming you go high in enhance like any friar would.

No matter what the style changes are, unless something OP and earthshaking happens with staff styles, friars will only ever be a cookie cutter class with only a few viable builds unless they get 1.8 spec points.

15 staff - [Double Strike] should be changed
25 staff - [Banish] should be changed
...
The whole line of staff should be re-designed.
Friar should keep the PvE Evade/debuff AS strength, but get an earlier taunt, a good anytime, a back-snare, a side-2chain-stun, a dps anytime like diamond slash, maybe add some heal styles somewhere along the lines.

Better keep all of these changes at 39 or lower spec. Friars don't have enough spec points...

Yea to make 50 style worth it and thus giving up ench/rejuv; it would have to be so OP it would be obnoxious.

44staff is possible for solo melee friars with only 7rejuv, but the three-part side chain ending in stun is almost impossible to get off in RvR. (I tried the specc in Uth1). Without banish and making it a 2-part, maybe it would be used by some.

Friars boon (lvl29) is as good an anytime as you could hope for. Not quite as good as Amethyst slash, but what is?

The evade style situation is a confusing mess at low level with styles that become redundant..

Also we have bleeds that are currently useless.

I dunno man, I would rank Friar's Boon up there with Amy slash, maybe higher? I mean it hits just as hard as our side snare and slightly harder even than the rear snare. I don't think you can say the same for amy slash - the side snare hits harder doesn't it? Or are they also equal?
