Friar Solo Spec Help

I just saw this post and figured I'd weigh in. I was one of the first level 50 Friars on my home server (Bors), even before they received some tweaks (i.e. 1.5 spec points per level, melee absorption buffs) that moved them from gimped to playable. I was RR7/8 (forget if I made it to 8) when I stopped playing...ToA took a lot of the wind out of my sails and I quit altogether right before NF was released.

This is all to say I love the class and having played it extensively (I'm actually bringing up another one on Phoenix right now) I thought I could share my thoughts on specs I've tried and how viable I consider them to be here:

39 Staff/47 Enh/24 Rej/5 Parry - This is the spec I've played the most and still consider it to be the most well rounded, allowing you to offer value to groups but still solo effectively. It gets you Friar's Fury (second in evade chain with bleed), the last combat speed buff (which you should have up nearly all the time given the short cooldown), and then the first HoT/third heal proc in rejuv...very well rounded spec.

Note: if you don't mind losing the last combat speed buff 39/46/26/5 gets you a better heal and uses all available spec points, just in case you're OCD.

44 Staff/47 Enh/8 Rej/11 Parry - This is probably one of the better pure solo specs. It gets you Stunning Wrath, which is an 8 second stun but 3rd in a side chain so can be difficult to pull off sometimes. Also gets you last combat speed buff/first heal proc and a little more parry than the last build.

Note: I never tried 50 staff outside of Pendragon (test server). While Excommunicate sounds cool as hell it just isn't worth what you have to give up in Enh for it.

34 Staff/49 Enh/25 Rej/12 Parry - This is the spec I ran with most besides the top one. What you lose in staff you gain in survivability/viability in groups, with all the top resists buffs, better heal, and more parry. If you think you'll run in groups a bit more than solo this is a nice spec.

29 Staff/48 Enh/34 Rej/6 Parry - I should start by noting that you're giving up a lot in staff here, especially with the 34 style (Holy Staff) having a back snare on Phoenix, which is just awesome. That being said if you're going to group exclusively you could do a lot worse than this spec. It gives you all buffs except the last matter resist, second to last HoT and major heal, plus you still get a decent anytime style (Friar's Boon). On top of that it uses all available spec points, which caters to my OCD nature.

Hope this helps. RA spec a little more murky due to the lack of Dodger, which I think is a major kick in the you know what to Friars on this server. That being said some staples are Longwind/Tireless and Purge...Static Tempest should add some utility in groups and passives like Determination/Mastery of Pain/Aug Dex are useful. I'm not sure about Reflex Attack due to it being unstyled (Friars have low weaponskill so there will be a lot of misses) and wouldn't consider Ignore Pain until higher realm levels and only if you solo a lot.
