World Chat Channel - Phoenix Freeshard

Would the GMs please consider a global chat channel. 20+yr old game... there is a /filter for bad words and an ignore function. Honestly I would think the GMs are tired of issuing out warnings to people in advice..... Please create World or Global channel for each realm... it doesn't have to be auto default to chat ( can be a /join global) but that option really does need to be implemented. Humans are social creatures by nature.. denying them mass socialization is not cool ... Would the GMs please heavily consider the creation of a chat channel where we as players can actually chat... I get you all don't want flaming going on.. but that's part of daoc and has been.. there's a /filter... people can use it.. same as this purposed chat channel people don't have to see it they can mute it or w/e... the suggestion of just making a /cg so people and conversate across zones/guilds/as is not optimal for most people... Also consider how much hassle is would relieve GMs from saying 'keep advice to advice'.... in a global channel they can just say keep it kosher ( i.e. no racial slurs) all else is fair..

I would love this idea, and could absolutely be made optional or not defaulted in some way. I 100% understand why the current channels are moderated. MOST of the time its probably needed as well, but sometimes it is fairly restrictive between people who have spent the better part of the past 2 years together. We aren't a HUGE community but I would like to say the social and community functions have kept the game and realms alive as far as I am concerned.

Use some form of basic statement about optional chats
"Online interactions not rated by the ESRB"

I mean if we gave Yilind a home besides /advice think of how much extra time you guys will have to PLAY the game!

This will not happen.
We would still need to moderate it.
There would still be appeals for content.
From the rules: The presence of any form of preventative filter or other game features is not license or permission, tacit or otherwise, to use such language in any form.
