Well I guess I was wrong and it's time to convert

Bring New Frontiers to this server. OF was great for the nostalgia factor and all but the map design is straight trash. At this point, every evening devolves into some RR10 group / zerg camping milegates and if not them, then 14 groups of rr4 alb stealthers will show up instead. If you're solo, smallman (especially bad for alb and mid thanks to the ganking cancer that is bard amnesia) you basically can't do shit. You stand their at your PK and hope a zerg shows up so you can surf it to somewhere in the open to get ganked later.

Seriously, open the maps up. This is getting old fast. At least for the first few weeks the action got focused but since the capture the flag garbage doesn't really do anything it turns into a milegate camp fest. One realm just takes over basically everything then goes and camps the milegate till the task turns over. Somethings got to give.

if this is unviable (because i have no idea how much work is involved), i think a good solution is to link the frontiers like they did with Lethantis (pvp server 1-2 years old). Im sure someone will have a image of it if they want to share.

I know this doesnt get us on the NF train a lot want to see, however i think that fixes 5/6 of your problems youve listed....

i have yet to experience both milegates and both borderkeeps to be camped...
and i only once experienced both milegates being camped at the same time

I agree though that the flag-system feels a bit useless. The whole task-system does a little bit...i don't understand what doing-tasks even does. All i type /task for is to check the timer (i don't have a solution myself though, make winning the tasks too important and you exacerbate the winningteamjoining...)

Somewhere in between NF and the current map would be ideal imo. NF is just too large imo. Although map size isn't going to change the fact that running small mans on alb or mid is generally more frustrating and rage inducing than actual fun because of the bard insta.

yeah I just dont even bother anymore if I dont have my skald logged out in another zone than emain, you can either try to slip through mmg and hope all albs pushed to mpk and then you have to dodge the respawn of albs and the hib grps farming in emain, just to get insta amnesia by bard duo or trio in brefinne and start over again. The problem is really visible when realmtask is in alb for mids, most albs dont even bother going there only a few get farmed by 4+ hib grps in snow when they try to turn in some soil. End result is hibs will camp either snowdownia or mmg in hadrians while mids are split between Hadrians and Emain and usually take on albs or hibs with double the numbers or even more than that. When the task is mid/hib its a little better tho.
